This fact is also not so strange, but Siggi himself was considered strange in the area where he lived. People said that he was one of the survivors of the Nazi Concentration camps during the Second World War.

He was one of the few Jews who returned to the village where he lived before. Most other Jews never returned to their old villages, because they considered that the people of the village betrayed them. People said that where Siggi was a very happy go lucky person before the war, he was now morose and mostly kept to himself. He didn't show any signs of bitterness towards those who pointed him out to the Nazi's though and some people actually admired him for being such a forgiving person.
